In the first quarter of 2023, South Africa's top food delivery services on the iOS platform showcased diverse performance trends in weekly downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides an interesting insight into the market dynamics for these apps.

Mr D - Groceries & Takeaway saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 5.8K at the end of December and peaking at approximately 7K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users fluctuated but showed an overall positive trend, increasing from about 58.9K to 60.1K over the quarter.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a consistent rise in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter at around 5.1K and reaching about 6.3K by the end of March. The weekly active users for Uber Eats remained relatively stable, hovering around the 119K mark throughout the quarter.
